Matthew SIMINGTON – Robbery With Disguise

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 39-year-old male after police investigated a robbery at a Main Street North, Hagersville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Friday, May 20, 2016 at approximately 12:17 a.m., a lone male entered Mac’s Convenience Store and demanded money from the cash register from the lone female employee. No money was turned over to the suspect who then exited the store and headed southbound on Main Street.

A responding officer located the male a short distance away and took him into custody without incident.

The employee was not physically injured during this incident.

As a result of investigation, police have charged 39-year-old Matthew SIMINGTON of Haldimand County, Ontario with robbery with intent and disguise with intent.

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date in order to answer to the charges.
