(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On January 2, 2015 at approximately 6:56 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks at Roszell Road and Townline Road in Puslinch Township.
Officers investigated the driver of a 2013 Honda that entered into the checkpoint. Police immediately detected the odour of burnt marihuana inside the vehicle. The driver surrendered a quantity of plant material to the officer that was believed to be bud marihuana.
Matthew BOLENDER age 33 of Cambridge has been charged with Possession of Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 17, 2015 to answer to the charge.
