(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On September 29, 2014 at approximately 2:06 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 26 near Side Road 17 in the Town of Erin.
At this time and location officers observed a southbound motor vehicle travelling at a speed well above the posted speed limit. Police clocked the 2003 Chevrolet at 141 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Matthew BAILIE age 27 of Guelph is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on October 29, 2014 to answer to the charge.
