(KENORA, ON) On Monday October 20, 2014 at around 10:15 am, members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a male standing in the middle of Highway 17, approximately 25 kilometres east of Kenora. Police attended and located a male matching the description of the man on the highway knocking on the door of a residence in the area. The subsequent police investigation revealed the male was involved in a break in to a residence in the area.
As a result of this investigation, 21 year old Mathieu HERBERT-PERREAULT of no fixed address has been charged with Break and Enter a Residence contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
