Marvin OLIVARES – Open Liquor, Drugs

(CALEDON, ON) – On Friday, July 17, 2016 officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE check at Forks of the Credit Road and McLaren Road in the Town of Caledon.

Silver Subaru Forester approached the RIDE check. Upon speaking to the driver, open liquor was observed. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of marihuana as well as OxyContin.

As a result, Marvin OLIVARES, 33, of Brampton was charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada: Adult Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor; Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana; Adult Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Other Drugs.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on July 18, 2016.
