Mark TESSIER – Drunk Driving, Racing, etc

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On February 1, 2015 at 2:51 a.m., a member of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol in Parry Sound. A white car reversed out of a parking spot in front of the OPP cruiser. The Officer observed an expired validation tag and initiated a traffic stop.

As a result of the officer’s investigation, Patrick MCTAVISH, 22 years of age from Parry Sound, was arrested and charged with Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol, contrary to the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on February 19, 2015 to answer to his charges.

The passenger, Justin LACOSSE, 21 years of age from Parry Sound was arrested and charged with Being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act (LLA). He was held in custody until sober and issued a Provincial Offences Notice (PON).

On February 3, 2015, a member of the West Parry Sound OPP was conducting stationary patrol on Highway 69 in Henvey Township. At approximately 1:21 a.m. the Officer observed a grey sport utility vehicle (SUV) travelling at a high rate of speed and as a result conducted a traffic stop for “Stunt Driving”.

As a result of the officer’s investigation, Mark TESSIER, 47 years of age from Sudbury, was arrested and charged with:

1. Race a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

2. riving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol, contrary to the CC.

3. Careless driving, contrary to the HTA.

4. Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open liquor, contrary to the LLA.

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on February 19, 2015 to answer to his charges.

The passenger, Zella DELAMORANDIERE, 44 years of age from Valley East was arrested and charged with Possession of a schedule II substance as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on February 3, 2015.
