(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) -On January 17, 2014 at approximately 11:20 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Belsyde Avenue East, Fergus. A male driving a 1999 Toyota left the road and came to a rest in a snow bank. He showed signs of consuming alcohol and he was arrested for impaired driving. Once back at the Centre Wellington Operation Centre, he caused mischief to a prisoner cell.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Mark DIMITROFF age 27 of Fergus has been charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs, and Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on March 4, 2014.
