(PLUMMER ADDITIONAL TOWNSHIP, ON) – On May 21, 2016, Members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on regular patrol duties on Highway 17.
At 9:00 a.m., police observed a vehicle on Highway 17 travelling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that there was Cannabis Marihuana in the vehicle.
Mark David KNIGHT, 29 years of age, from ORLEANS, Ontario, was charged with:
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – Under 30 grams, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
Speeding contrary to section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on July 7, 2016.
