(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On Wednesday, July 6, 2016, officers from the Anishinabek Police Service (APS) responded to a report of a serious assault that occurred on Fort William First Nation. Prior to police arrival, the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was last observed entering the bush area on Chippewa Road. APS requested assistance from officers from Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to assist with the investigation.
On Thursday, July 7, 2016 at approximately 7:10 pm, officers from the Thunder Bay Police Service located and arrested Mark Boucher at a residence in Thunder Bay. Warrants were subsequently executed and charges of Aggravated Assault contrary to Section 268 and Pointing a Firearm contrary to Section 87 of the Criminal Code have been laid.
