(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On February 15, 2016 at approximately 6:49 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver on Grey Rd. 17A in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The suspect vehicle, a 2003 Honda Accord, was observed being driven in an erratic manner before it left the roadway and went into the ditch on Range Road. The lone driver exited the vehicle and left the scene on foot. He was located at his residence a short time afterwards.
42-year old Mark Anthony ALGERA of the Township of Georgian Bluffs was issued five Part III Summonses for the following offences:
Having care and control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor readily available, LLA 32(1)
Driver fail to surrender licence, Highway Traffic Act 33(1)
Fail to surrender insurance card, Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act 3(1)
Fail to report, Highway Traffic Act 199(1)
Careless driving, Highway Traffic Act 130
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on March 21, 2016.
