(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On May 22, 2016, at 1:13 p.m., members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere) at Shebeshekong Road and Highway 559 in Carling Township. The vehicle was Eastbound on Highway 559 and stopped for the R.I.D.E. check. The officer determined the driver had consumed alcohol.
As a result of the officer’s investigation, Mariusz TRUSZKOWSKI, 55 years of age from Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
Driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in blood contrary to the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on June 16, 2016 to answer to his charges.
The OPP are reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
