Marijuana Bust – One Plant Seized

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment was contacted by an alert resident at a Queen Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at approximately 11:14 p.m., an alert resident observed a vehicle stop in front of an address. A male passenger was observed exiting the vehicle and was seen running into a field beside a residence. The male was then observed running back to the vehicle which fled northbound towards Queen Street South.

Through the course of investigation it was determined that the unknown male attended the field and dropped a single pot that contained a Marihuana plant. The item was seized by police to be properly disposed of.

Police are reminding all residents to be extremely vigilant and to report any suspicious activity in their community by immediately calling 1-888-310-1122.
