(TOWNSHIP OF ESSA) – On October 29, 2015 at 7:14 pm, a member from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting stationary radar speed enforcement on the 25th Side Road of Essa Township, between the 8th and 9th Line, when a grey coloured Infinity GAW sedan was observed to be travelling at a high rate of speed.
The officer determined that the motor vehicle was travelling 127km/hr in a posted 60km/hr zone.
The driver of the motor vehicle was stopped and as a result of the investigation, 44 year old Marcus HUSBANDS of Angus was charged with Stunt Driving. His licence was immediately suspended for seven days and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days. He will appear in Churchill Court on December 9, 2015.
