(TECUMSEH, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Tecumseh, Ontario responded to an industrial accident on November 16, 2016 at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Police, along with Windsor Essex Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Tecumseh Fire Rescue Service attended the R.J. CYR Company Inc. located in the 5000 block of Concession 8 in Tecumseh, Ontario where a 51 year old male had been struck by a large steel beam reportedly weighing approximately 1200 pounds.
The Windsor man was rushed to an area hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating.
The name of the deceased is being held pending notification of next of kin.
