(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On the 13th of July 2016 at approx. 8:15 am officers from the Quinte West detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police along with fire personnel and paramedics attended a remote wooded area south of the 401 for a work place accident.
A Collingwood area male had been struck on the head by a tree limb.
An air ambulance had been called to the scene as a precaution but was later cancelled.
The male victim was removed from the scene and transported by ambulance personnel to the Trenton Hospital with non – life threatening injuries.
Ministry of Labour officials were notified by Police.
