Fentanyl is an opioid drug that is 50 to 100 times stronger than morphine. Just 2mg is enough to cause overdose and death. People who take drugs like heroin and cocaine may not know that Fentanyl has been added. Naloxone is a lifesaving medication that reverses the effect of an overdose and can prevent death. Anyone in Brant or Brantford can get a kit and training for free.
If you know someone who uses opioid drugs, get a naloxone kit. It could save them if they overdose. For more information on where to get a kit visit www.FentanylCanKill.ca
