(WIARTON, ON) – On June 12, 2016 at 6:03 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an intoxicated male passed out while sitting in the driver’s seat of a Ford Explorer on Berford Street, Wiarton, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
Police learned the male had ordered take out from a local restaurant and returned to his Ford Explorer to wait for the order. Police found the driver had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested and transported to the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment for breath tests in which he failed.
William Robert AINSLIE, age 40, from South Bruce Peninsula, has been charged with
care or control of a motor vehicle while impaired and care or control over 80 mgs.
He is scheduled to appear before the Owen Sound Court of Justice on June 30, 2016 to answer to the charges.
