(LEEDS, ON.) – Officers of the Leeds Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into a traffic stop that resulted in three people being arrested.
On the 25th of March 2017 at about 2:00 PM O.P.P officers stopped a vehicle and snowmobile trailer on Lyndhurst Road and as a result three occupants were arrested and charged with being in possession of stolen property and numerous other related charges.
33 year old Jacob ENNS of St Marys Ontario, 21 year old Kariane FORTIN of St Sebastien, Quebec and 32 year old James LAGUEUX of East Zorra-Tavistock Township, Ontario all face charges of 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Property over $5000, Possession of Stolen Property under $5000, Possession of Break in Instruments, and Possession of Marihuana. Enns and Fortin were released from custody pending a court appearance on 5 April 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division – Brockville, while Laqueux who has an additional charge of Obstruct Justice was held for bail hearing on the 27th of March 2017.
The investigation continues.
