Man Found Lifeless In Artificial Pond

(Alfred-Plantagenet, ON) Hawkesbury OPP officers were dispatched to a Lefaivre residence shortly before 6:30 pm on Saturday November 29th.

A man, who was doing yard work operating excavation machinery known as a “Bobcat” fell into an artificial pond.

The Prescott-Russell Emergency Services and the Alfred-Plantagenet Fire Department also assisted in this incident. The Bobcat was taken out of the water.

The driver was sent to the hospital via ambulance.

Jean-Roch Sauvé (43 yrs) of Lefaivre, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The body of the deceased was scheduled for a post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death.

The matter is still under investigation by Constable Jean-Alexandre Robillard-Cardinal.
