Man Found In Syer Line Pond

(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were called to a Syer Line address on Saturday just after 4:00pm.

A Scarborough couple owned the Syer Line property which they kept a trailer near a large pond. After erecting some ‘No Trespassing’ signs at the site, the wife located her husband unresponsive in the pond. Attempts to resuscitate the victim were unsuccessful. The property owner Kai-Din LEE (age 75) of Scarborough, ON was pronounced dead at scene. A post mortem examination will be conducted at the Centre of Forensic Sciences. Members of the Peterborough County Crime Unit continue to investigate.
