(ESSEX ON) The Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating after a 20 year old Leamington man was struck by a vehicle shortly after midnight tis date.
Although the investigation is continuing the man was apparently walking eastbound in the westbound lane of Highway 3 near County Road 27 when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced by dead.
Highway 3 was closed between County Road 27 and County Road 29 for several hours while the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team (TTCI) investigated.
Police are not releasing the name of the deceased man until next of kin have been notified.
