The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with failing to comply with his release conditions.
On October 9, 2014, the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to reside at a specific address on Sandys Street in Blenheim.
On November 2, 2014, police received information that the man had moved out.
Early this morning, an officer on general patrol observed the man riding his bicycle on Chatham Street North and he was arrested for failing to comply with his release conditions. Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of crystal meth and marihuana. Through investigation, police further learned that the man was also bound by a Probation Order not to possess non-medically prescribed drugs.
The 27-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with failing to comply, two counts of breach of probation and two counts of drug possession. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
