The Chatham-Kent police have charged a man following a collision in Chatham.
On November 8, 2014 around 1:30 p.m. the man was driving his vehicle southbound on St. Clair Street near Wilson Street when he crossed over into the northbound lanes and violently collided with another vehicle. The man fled the area however was taken into custody one block over from the collision scene.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was currently bound by a Provincial Offences Act Probation Order and suspended for unpaid fines and remedial training.
The 44-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to comply with his POA Probation Order and three counts of driving while under suspension.
