Shortly after 10:00 p.m. last night, police responded to a residence on Talbot Trail in regards to a domestic disturbance. At this time, a woman reported that the man flicked a lit cigarette at her during a verbal argument and that he had broken all her sentimental china. The woman did not require medical attention.
Through investigation, the woman reported previous incidents of domestic violence. Just before midnight, a 40-year-old Romney Township man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, mischief under $5000 and assault x2. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
