Around 10:00 p.m. last night, the man entered his ex-girlfriend’s home in Wallaceburg uninvited. The woman asked the man to leave however a verbal argument started which escalated into a physical altercation. The man fled the area prior to police arrival.
Shortly after midnight, officers located the man in Wallaceburg and he was taken into custody. The 21-year-old Petrolia man has been charged with break and enter, assault, overcome resistance to commit the offence of choking and disobeying a court order. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
