The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a break and enter in Highgate.
On December 27, 2013, the man entered a residence on King Street and stole a chainsaw and winch from the attached garage. Upon noticing the theft, workers at the residence followed footwear impressions in the snow. The property had been dropped by the man on King Street and the impressions lead to a residence on Queen Street.
Through investigation, police identified the man responsible for the break and enter. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the owner.
Around 2:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police located the man on Main Street in Ridgetown and he was arrested.
Frank Zoldy, 49 years, of Queen Street in Highgate has been charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He has been released with conditions pending a future court date.
