Yesterday afternoon, police received a call about a suspicious man walking in the area of Queen Street. Officers located the man and determined that he was unable to care for himself. The man was arrested for his own safety.
The 47-year-old Chatham man was charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He was held in custody until sober.
