The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic disturbance in Wallaceburg last night.
Just before 8:00 p.m. a man and woman became involved in a verbal argument when it escalated into a physical altercation. It is alleged that the man grabbed the woman, pinned her against a wall and bit her hand. The woman did not seek medical attention. The man fled the residence before police arrival.
Around 2:00 a.m. this morning, officers located the man on Wallace Street and he was arrested.
The 35-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with assault. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
