The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a disturbance this past weekend.
On April 27, 2014, two 35-year-old Chatham men, known to each other and neighbours, were consuming alcohol together at an establishment in Chatham. Upon returning to the victim’s residence, a verbal argument began which escalated into a physical altercation. The victim was punched and threatened. The victim sustained facial injuries. He was treated and released at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
Yesterday afternoon, the 35-year-old man responsible for the assault turned himself into police headquarters. He was charged with assault and uttering threats. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
