Man Charged For Failing To Move Over For Emergency Vehicle

(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On October 2nd, 2015 at approximately 1:30 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were in the process of conducting a traffic stop on County Road #124 in the Village of Singhampton. Officers were on the northbound lane shoulder when a large northbound motor vehicle in the northbound lane slowly passed their location as this was happening a northbound Ford motor vehicle at a high rate of speed passed the first one in the southbound lane, showing no concern for the safety of the Officers, occupants in the stopped motor vehicle or the large motor vehicle that was moving slowly for the safety of the previous individuals and could not move over.

Officers followed and stopped the above Ford motor vehicle and its occupants.

Charged with “Fail to slow down and proceed with caution for emergency vehicle or Tow Truck” under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario is Steven B. JOHANNES 41 years old from New Hamburg, Ontario.
