(MOOSONEE, ON) – On April 4, 2014 a member of the Moosonee Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was travelling via train into the Town of Moosonee and commenced a drug investigation regarding another passenger.
Once the train arrived in Moosonee the accused was arrested for trafficking a controlled substance. A subsequent search revealed a substantial amount of marihuana and methamphetamine tablets with an estimated street value exceeding $33,000.
Alberto TOMAGATICK, 32, of Timmins Ontario is charged with the following:
– Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking
– Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
– Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
– Breach of Probation
The accused was held in custody for a remand hearing via telephone on 5 April, 2014 with the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie.
