Man Charged Following a Domestic Disturbance

Last night, around 10:15 p.m. a man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence on Pinehurst Line. The man forced his way into the home and when asked to leave, he failed to do so. The argument turned physical when the man pushed the woman causing her to hit the fridge. The man also fell causing about $100 damage to a wall. Upon leaving the residence, the man threatened the woman. The woman did not require medical attention.

Police were called to the residence and the man immediately left in his vehicle. Police initiated a traffic stop, however the man continued driving making no attempt to stop. Within 600 meters, the man’s vehicle became stuck in a snowbank and the man fled on foot. Following a short foot pursuit, the man was arrested. The 27-year-old Camden Township man has been charged with break and enter, assault, mischief under $5000, uttering threats and failing to stop for police. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
