On March 5, 2013, the man was charged with two counts of drug possession and one count of possession of property obtained by a crime over $5000. He was released pending a future court date.
On April 4, 2013, the man was required to attend court. His name was called in the courtroom and hallway and he failed to respond. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.
Yesterday, the man was located and arrested by York Regional Police. Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service drove to New Market and transported the man back to Chatham-Kent.
The 24-year-old Toronto man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
