(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Monday October 27th, 2014, shortly after 6:00pm Quinte West OPP responded to reports of an irate male in a parked vehicle on North Murray Street in Trenton. Police investigation revealed that the man was impaired by alcohol.
Dean SUTHERLAND, 50, of Belleville was arrested at the scene for Care or Control of Motor Vehicle while Impaired. The man was transported back to the Quinte West OPP detachment where he failed to provide a suitable breath sample and uttered death threats towards the arresting officer.
SUTHERLAND faces a total of three criminal charges:
Care or Control of Motor Vehicle while Impaired
Fail or Refuse to provide Breath Sample
Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
He was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of November 13th, 2014, at the Ontario Court of Justice.
