(Prince Edward County, ON) On December 18, 2013 at 5:09am officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Prince Edward County detachment were called to a Bloomfield residence in response to a report of a domestic assault.
Police arrested a 24-year old Bloomfield man after having assaulted his girlfriend. The accused is charged with Assault, contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused was released on a promise to appear and undertaking with a court date of January 8, 2014 in Picton.
The police investigation is continuing.
