On November 2, 2013 at approximately 4:26 pm the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call of a suspicious motor vehicle on Spence Ln., east of Victoria Rd., just north of the 401. A short time later, officers observed the suspect vehicle operating on Main Street East in the Town of Ridgetown. Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the two male occupants.
They noted a strong smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and queried both occupants. They learned that one male occupant had been released on a recognizance of bail with conditions not to possess, ingest or inject CDSA and learned that the same person was on a Conditional Sentence with the condition not to purchase, possess or consume drugs except in accordance with a medical prescription.
The officers subsequently arrested the 26 year old Dover Township man for Breach of Recognizance and Disobey Court Order and held for a bail hearing.
