MALE INJURED IN COLLISION ON HIGHWAY 28

(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 9:35 p.m. on Friday the 31st of January 2014, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 28 in Carlow-Mayo Township.

Investigation revealed that a Chevrolet pickup truck was travelling east on Highway 28 when it slid off the road, entered the ditch and rolled. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

The driver of the truck, a 48 year old male of Carlow-Mayo Township was transported by ambulance to hospital with major injuries.

The male passenger, a 19 year old from Carlow-Mayo Township was also transported by ambulance to hospital with major injuries.

The name of the driver and passenger are not being released at this time as investigation into the collision is ongoing.
