(Municipality of Trent Lakes, ON) – On Sunday January 26, at approximately 11:20 p.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a Robbery that occurred at Fire Route 40.
Attending officers were advised that a 28 year old victim had been in his home when two males broke into his residence and assaulted him. The two male s made demands for money then fled the scene.
Members of Peterborough County OPP Crime Unit attended and conducted an investigation into the incident.
One suspect was subsequently identified and arrested in relation to the investigation, the accused 31 year old Stephen KELMAN of Lindsay is charged with Robbery with a Firearm, and Wearing a Disguise. with Intent.to commit an Indictable offence.
KELMAN has been held in custody and is scheduled for a Bail Hearing on Monday January 27, 2014, in Peterborough Provincial Courts.
A second male is yet to be identified and remains at large at this time.
The investigation is ongoing and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
