(Municipality of Trent Lakes, ON) – On April 5, at approximately 10:59 a.m. members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a domestic dispute that occurred at an George Street residence in the Village of Buckhorn.
Attending officers were advised that a 24 year old female and a 28 year old male had been involved in a domestic relationship. On this date the two had become involved in an argument, the male then assaulted the female and left the residence.
Police conducted an investigation and as a result a 28 year old male resident of Buckhorn has been charged with Domestic Assault. He was held for a bail hearing scheduled for April 6 2014 to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts.
The identities of the parties involved are being withheld due to the nature of the offence.
