(HALIBURTON, ON) – On January 21, 2014 officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified by Durham Regional Police Service that they had a male party in custody in relation to a warrant in Haliburton County. John ATANASIO age 23 of Oshawa Ontario was stopped for an unrelated matter when he was arrested. The accused was originally arrested by OPP in June of 2012 for a Break & Enter to a Minden Hills residence. The accused is now also charged with the criminal offence of Fail to Attend Court and was held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay Ontario on January 22, 2014.
