(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A local male was arrested and marihuana seized after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended an apartment complex earlier this week.
On January 28, 2014 an OPP officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment attended an apartment complex on Francis Street in Fenelon Falls in response to a noise complaint.
The initial information reported a disturbance involving swearing and yelling. Upon arrival the officer conducted an investigation that revealed the presence of marihuana. As a result of the investigation David HICKEY, 26 years of age, of Fenelon Falls, was arrested and charged with possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Approximately 446 grams of marihuana was seized. The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on March 6, 2014.
