(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On August 12, 2014 at approximately 4:10pm, Quinte West OPP responded to a call at 7 Creswell Dr., Quinte West City Hall.
When officers arrived on scene they were made aware of a male that had spoken to city staff in a threatening manner.
As a result 36 year old Mikolaj MORTON-POPIEL of Trenton male was arrested in City Hall Council Chambers. The male has been charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Carrying a Weapon, device or ammunition at a Public Meeting.
The male was released from custody and is expected to appear in court in September.
