On Friday, October 25, 2013 at approximately 4:10 p.m., members of the London Police Service attended an address on Marconi Boulevard regarding an allegation of an assault that had just occurred.
Information was obtained that the occupant of that address was in possession of a weapon and was intending to harm himself. The area was contained by members of the Uniformed Division and the Emergency Response Section.
After negotiations with the occupant, a male surrendered peacefully to police. He was taken to hospital for a medical assessment.
A 44-year-old London man is facing several criminal charges.
