Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 12 a.m., a 25 year old Kitchener male jumped off a retaining wall behind the Freshco located at 1111 Weber Street East in the city of Kitchener. The subject landed onto Highway #8, injuring himself in the process. Police apprehended this male minutes later in the interest of safety. As a result of a search incident to arrest, police located a controlled substance in his possession. The male was treated at Grand River Hospital for minor injuries. A 27 year old Kitchener male was charged with the possession of marihuana.
