Male Arrested After Breaking In And Smashing Items In Thrift Shop

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 17, 2015 at approximately 9:20 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call advising that someone was smashing property inside of the Bibles for Missions Thrift Shop located on Maple Street in Fergus, Centre Wellington Township.

Police attended the business and located the suspect outside the building. The male was placed under arrest and the OPP Canine Unit was called to the scene to confirm no other suspects were inside.

No property was taken.

33-year-old Todd STEPHENSON of Fergus has been charged with Break and Enter to Commit an Indictable Offence. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 25, 2015 to answer to the charge.
