(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were advised of a female who was observed stealing products from the Foodland store in Burford, in the County of Brant.
At approximately 5:20 p.m. September 4th, 2014, officers were dispatched to the tTown of Burford for a theft complaint. Officers were advised that a female was observed stealing a large amount of products from the store. When staff confronted the female, she fled on foot. Officers located the female and also a male who was involved.
Brian MCCAUGHEN 57 years of age from the City of Brantford is facing the following criminal charges
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00
Accessory After the fact to Commit Indictable Offence
The accused is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on October 17th, 2014 to answer to the charges.
Natasha STRAETEN 21 years of age from the City of Brantford is facing the following criminal charges
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00
Obstruct Peace Officer
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Theft Under $5,000.00- Shoplifting
The female accused is currently being held in custody.
