(NORTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – The Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a series of mischiefs to mail box incidents in the North Bruce Peninsula. Unknown person(s) between the hours of 10:50p.m. on November 28, 2014 and 8:00a.m. November 29, 2014 travelled around the Dyers Bay Rd and Bartley Dr blocks in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula shooting at mail boxes.
The investigation showed a large amount of holes in each mail box which in most cases destroyed the mail box. The holes are believed to have been made by a firearm due to the pattern of pellets left on the mail box.
The Bruce Peninsula OPP want to remind the citizens of the Bruce Peninsula that property crime is everyone’s problem. The suspects in this matter could also be charged with careless use of a firearm and shooting from a motor vehicle. If you see someone damaging property call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 911 if it is an emergency.
