(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On April 4, 2017 at approximately 10:30 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road in the City of Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a 2017 Honda Civic travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 133 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
27-year-old Monowara MAI of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 3, 2017.Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
