(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On June 23, 2015 at approximately 10:49 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Eighth Line near side Road 5, Town of Erin.
Officers located the male driver of a 1999 Acura who displayed signs of impairment by alcohol. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for testing. Further investigation revealed that he is suspended driver.
MacLeod NICHOLS age 50 of Toronto has been charged with over Impaired Driving, Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is also charged with Drive While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on July 10, 2015 to answer to the charges.
