MACKENZIE – Drunk Driving, No Interlock Device, etc

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – On April 30, 2016 at approximately 12:47 pm a driving complaint was received by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) of a vehicle all over the road, on County Road 48 in Bexley Township.

After an investigation, the driver of the vehicle, 64 year old Colin MACKENZIE of Toronto was found to have been drinking alcohol and was arrested and charged with Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada, Driving while ability Impaired by Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the CCC, Drive motor vehicle not equipped with an approved ignition interlock device while prohibited from doing so contrary to section 41.2(13) of the Highway Traffic Act and Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor contrary to section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act.

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on May 26, 2016.
